Baptisms.
This is what it was all about at the end of the day.
These are some of those we’ve worked with over the last few years.
The guy is called Som Ol.  He came to the church a couple of years back.  He was in a situation where he has no family (almost unheard of in Cambodia – there’s always extended family, but not in Som Ol’s case.  He also had a very precarious work situation at the time with his employers often not paying him.  He literally had nothing apart from the clothes he was wearing.  Anyway, the church helped him by buying him a motor bike (which he is paying back over a period) so he could operate as a motor-taxi to get some income.
I used to attend a Bible Study on Thursday evenings, which turned into me teaching from the Bible every week.  Som Ol came faithfully, so it is great to see him getting baptized.  2 of the other girls being baptized here also started coming to the church in the last couple of years.  The one who sent us these photos was threatened by her parents that they would cut her off if she continued going to church.  I don’t know where that situation has reached, but her sister now comes too!
